Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young—a place near your altar, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God. Psalm 84:3

Are you doing it wrong?

TO ALL MY FRIENDS I'M SO GLAD I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS!
The correct way to weigh yourself:

I can't believe I was doing it wrong all these years.
WE MUST SPREAD THE WORD.

St Augustine Monday

Beautiful Beach Day....

Nana and I spent the day on the beach with the kids Monday.
We all had to work together digging the holes....
Us girls buried those boys!
Well we didn't leave them buried too long!

St Augustine Sunday

We started off Sunday with a trolley ride around downtown St Augustine. We checked out the Old Mill, Fountains, Oldest School and Oldest Drug Store

Next we went across downtown to potters House of Wax where the kids took their best "swing" with Tiger Woods!

The kids picked different characters to photo with: Kelli picked Royalty, Nicholas picked Napoleon (hmmmm) and Vinny and Sal thought Star Wars was the best!

That night we took the Ghost and Graveyards tour. We got to see St Augustine a whole new way!

St Augustine Restaurants

We arrived in St Augustine Saturday right at lunchtime! We had to try Caddyshack since Ed, Dad and Vinny love golf! We had a great lunch but the biggest hit was the boardwalk where you could feed huge fish and turtles.
Sunday we went to Santa Maria a restaurant on the water where you can feed the fish while you eat. The kids where given a huge basket of bread to feed to the hungry catfish down below.
We had to take a picture of the beautiful sun setting overlooking the water. After dinner the kids saved 3 last pieces of bread for those still hungry fish!
Monday we ventured to Saltwater Cowboys which is located on a marsh. The kids found crabs, tadpoles and small fish. We had a fun time eating inside an old fish camp and the kids received much praise for their manners at dinner.

Party Time

Vinny had 2 great days of celebrating his 8th birthday. Wednesday Jen had a swim date at her house with Courtney's 8, Dawn's 4, Nancy's twins, Krista's daughter plus 7 more (mine and hers). That was the loudest Happy Birthday song with 22 kids singing! Thank you ladies for a great time.

Thursday Crystal invited us over to her new place and to the park. We had 11 kids between us (she has 3, I have 4, don't ask where 4 more came from!) which was very funny going to the park! We had an indoor picnic lunch and had a great time.

Re introducing Kelli...

After a long 9 month wait Kelli's court hearing was today. She is officially our Kelli Marie! Nana, Pop-Pop, Tyrene and Jen gathered in the court room with all 7 children to hear the great news. Nana and Ty-Ty gave Kelli her first cross necklace which she said she will wear forever and ever! Thank you to everyone who helped us with our adoption journey we were so glad to have you along for the ride.

Red Bull

does give you wings, exceptionally if you attended their annual Redbull Flugtag. What is FLUGTAG you ask? Flugtag means flying day in German.
Red Bull Flugtag challenges teams of everyday people to build homemade, human-powered flying machines and pilot them off a 30-foot high deck in hopes of achieving flight! Flugtag may mean "flying day" but all these crafts ultimately splash into the waters below. They are judged not only on their flight's distance, but creativity and showmanship as well. http://www.redbullflugtagusa.com/
This year Tampa hosted and we where able to attend as guests of Red Bull. The kids got a charge out of rating the flugtags with huge number cards. We hope Ed's company gets to participate next year because I have a ton of ideas! LOL

Post Secrets

After a trip to Melbourne to return the rental car Ed had for work we thought we should DO SOMETHING in Melbourne. Since it was to hot for the zoo we went downtown to the Art and Science Museum. Well there was no science just tons of art and sabotage (Mom and Ty) but we got to see/read the exhibit on Post Secrets. Now I have heard and seen different sites on Post Secrets here is the blog http://postsecret.blogspot.com/ . It was really interesting but since we forgot Vinny can read we had to hurry him along in some of the rooms. Note: if you have small children and are in Melbourne DO NOT go to the Art and Science Museum! Go ahead and go to the zoo even if it is hot....

Tacky Tourists VBS

I Believe

I Believe…
A Birth Certificate shows that we were born,
A Death Certificate shows that we died,
Pictures show that we lived!

I Believe...
That just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do love each other.

I Believe...
That we don't have to change friends
if we understand that friends change.

I Believe...
That no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe...
That true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.

I Believe...
That you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life.

I Believe...
That it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.

I Believe...
That you should always
leave loved ones with loving words.
It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe...
That you can keep going
long after you think you can't.

I Believe...
That we are responsible for what we do,
no matter how we feel.

I Believe...
That either you control your attitude
or it controls you.

I Believe...
That heroes are the people who do
what has to be done when it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.

I Believe...
That money is a lousy way
of keeping score.

I Believe...
That sometimes the people you expect
to kick you when you're down,
will be the ones to help you get back up.

I Believe...
That sometimes when I'm angry
I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I Believe...
That maturity has more to do with
what types of experiences you've had and
what you've learned from them
and less to do with
how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I Believe...
That it isn't always enough,
to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn
to forgive yourself.

I Believe...
That no matter how bad
your heart is broken
the world doesn't stop
for your grief.

I Believe...
That our background and circumstances
may have influenced who we are,
but, we are responsible
for who we become.

I Believe...
That you shouldn't be so eager
to find out a secret.
It could change your life Forever.

I Believe...
Two people can look at
the exact same thing
and see something totally different.

I Believe...
That your life can be changed
in a matter of seconds
by people who
don't even know you.

I Believe...
That even when you think
you have no more to give,
when a friend cries out to you -
you will find the strength to help.

I Believe...
That credentials on the wall
do not make you a decent human being.

I Believe...
That the people you care about most in life
are taken from you too soon.

I Believe...
The happiest of people
don't necessarily have the best of everything;
they just make the most of everything.

I Believe...
That you should send this
to all of the people that you believe in,
I just did
