Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young—a place near your altar, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God. Psalm 84:3

A Fair Day

Demolition Derby time again! This time was at the fair. Our favorite pink car number 57 won the mini car race. The kids think it is so funny that a women drives those crazy cars! We took along the Ward family for a day of fun.

Next was the livestock area, where the kids pretended to ride the horses and cows like real cowboys and cowgirls.

The kids found the petting zoo. For a dollar the kids could feed the animals carrot slices. Kelli liked the goats and the boys were into the llama. But our favorite was the Scottish Highlander (a very hairy cow) and the kids feed them until there was no more food left!
Last but not least was the piggy races! The first set of pigs were black and white and very fast, the nest set of pigs were very cute but the last set was our favorite and the slowest! The pot belly pigs took their time going around the ring. Perfect for pictures!

First Fieldtrip

Nick's school had a fieldtrip to M-Ranch. This was his first official school fieldtrip. Since his buddy Eli will be going to school next year he got to go on the fieldtrip too! The class went on a hayride. Then to the barn to hold baby chickens!

The class got to see bunnies, a ferret and horses!

The best part was feeding the goats, pigs and sheep!

Reminder Binder

Someone told me to keep order in their home they made a book titled 'Reminder Binder' which kept her kids on task. Things in the Reminder Binder included Chores, Tips, Schedules and Food. I thought this was a great idea, and started working on mine right away. With Nicholas only being three I knew I could not write out their small list of chores so......
I present the first page of our Reminder Binder!
