Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young—a place near your altar, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God. Psalm 84:3

CSI: Manatee

Vinny's school sent home a flier on who stole their mascot Mighty Manatee. We played CSI to help solve the crime.

All this was taking place during the science fair. Vinny's class project was about jellybeans.

After solving the 5 clues (fingerprint patterns, measuring footprints, solving a letter puzzle, learning about ph levels and reactions to baking soda and vinager) we thought it was Ms Hoffman the princple. We were right! And Mighty Manatee was found.

What Little Boys Are Made Of......

What are little boys made of, made of?
What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails, and frog and lizard tails,
That's what little boys are made of.

Well that's what my little boys are made of!

Vinny and Sal where trying to catch frogs and lizards. Vinny got the frog and Sal found a pet salamander!

Notice Nick and Kelli where only onlookers! But the frog did jump onto Kelli's back but since she is made of sugar and spice, and everything nice, she simply said "Oh, there is a frog on my back?!" Vinny quickly removed him.

Park Playdate

We had a great playdate with our friend Crystal http://crystalplus3.blogspot.com/at the park! Nick and Kelli rode the dinosaur lizard!

Nick and Eli tried out the seasaw then Nick rode the big wheel.

Kelli, AJ and Sal climbed the spider web! (Which also was a monkey mountain, hill and tower.)
After lunch (all the kids had lunchables, who knew) the kids all shared their desserts (Blue Airhead, Skittles, Oreos). Kelli ate most of the airhead and was rewarded with a bright blue tongue. She then became lizard queen and climbed to the top of the tower!

Swimming Saturday

To end our Spring Break fun we had the kids first sleep over party! Wow, thanks to Jen and April the boys have had sleepouts never a sleepover, so April volunteered her kids to try it out. Sal, Vinny and Micheal camped out in the boys triple bunkbed while Kelli and Jane watched movies in Kelli's room. Nick wanted no part of the sleepover and stayed in the playroom surrounded by his Elmos. Sal wanted to sleep (something the older boys did not do until 4am) and left the sleepover to sleep in my room. Jane and Kelli chatted away until 11pm when mean old mommy separated them and then there was sleep. The second everyone opened their eyes (8am) they went swimming. Vinny and Micheal have made plans for the next sleepover while Kelli gushed that she has so many friends now. Sal only wants a sleepover at Ty and Jason's new house and has demanded his own room. Nick thinks he will wait for his big sleepover weekend at Jen's house (June).

Pool Time

Thursday for Spring Break we went swimming at our house. Madi and Nick took the pool balls and stuffed them into their shirts. So this is what Madi and Nick will look like when they grow up. Big boobs and a beer gut!

Random shots of the kids swimming and a picture of the "girls", Kelli gets such a kick out of the thought of her "girlfriends".
All the kids voted against the brown bag lunch of sandwiches and/or lunchables and had pizza and Doritos instead!

Zoo Time

Wednesday during Spring Break we made the fieldtrip down south to th Palm Beach Zoo.

Sal, Kelli and Nick loved taking pictures through out the zoo, Vinny not so much!

We had another funfilled Spring Break day!

12 Hours at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios--Priceless Nicholas!!!!!

12 hour Vacation

Off to another Disney adventure! This time Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios on Sunday, March 30. We had a late start because one of our family members was left at the breakfast table back at the hotel. No not one of the kids...but Mr Quackers! About half way to MK Nicholas and I realized Quackers was not in the car. Now as some of you may know this is the second time Quack-Quack has taken off on his own. First time was in Alabama at Target where I was frantically calling for an Amber Alert. Amanda did calmly find Mr Quackers at the women's fitting room since a nice Alabamian turned Quack-Quack in. Sad for us this is not Alabama, this is Orlando and I was sure our vacation was over with the loss of Quackers. We ran back to the hotel lobby where Mr Quackers was posed on the chair eating breakfast. Thankfully we always stay at this hotel and we had a safe return! Since Nicholas was traumatized over this notice Quack-Quack is in every picture! We love taking the boat over to Magic Kingdom rather then the monorail. The kids got to see some ducks out in the water. We went on the Huck Finn/Tom Sawyer riverboat and went exploring for the first time. The kids loved the barrel bridge which Ed made sure was extra bouncy!
We went on almost every ride since there was no lines and still had time to hit another park. We left MK and headed to Downtown Disney to House of Blues for lunch. Since this is Orlando tourist town of the south, we where asked to take a picture at the front door. Hello we have been at Disney for 6hrs we look like what the cat dragged in. Once we finished eating House of Blues offered up our pictures for $20.00! Needless to say the pictures stayed there. After lunch we went to Hollywood Studios where Vinny, Sal and Kelli had to go on Star Wars for the first time which bothered Nick, so next we had to go over to the stunt show where Nick got the last laugh at Vinny, Sal and Kelli for getting all wet on the ride!

A Day at Disney

9am5pm
We went to Epcot Saturday, March 29th, for a fun filled day. We arrived as the park opened and went on the kids favorite rides Nemo, Figment and the Land. At 11am the World Showcase opened and we took our first trip to Canada! (which Sal thinks would be a cool place to live) We stopped to take a picture with Brother Bear (which somehow was deleted from my camera,) but we have the picture with the Canadian totem pole.
.
We had lunch in the UK for fish and chips! Then it was off to Mexico for a boat ride with Donald Duck. Epcot which we learned stands for Environmental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow is having their annual Flower and Garden expo (my favorite time to go)! Right now they have garden centers set up through out the world. Vinny, Kelli and Sal climbed to the top of the rock mountain while Nick tried out the garden tunnels.

We had another great day at disney and finished our night with dinner at Joes Crabshack.
